Terrors in the night

The Douglas P-70 night fighter was derived from the famous A-20 Havoc. The night fighters were delivered in 1942 to meet the need for a long-range fighter in the Pacific theater. The twin-engined P-70 fit the bill. Its radar set was installed inside the nose for detecting enemy aircraft at night. A more powerful armament, formed by four 20 mm cannons, was installed in a dedicated external package under the fuselage. Kit features detailed cockpit, landing gear, and three sets of decals.
